Lately, early mornings, I wake up at the sound of heavy duty labour. That's because this is what's going on in my street right now:
Fascinated by the machinery, one day I took a mug of coffee and my sketchbook outside and sat down on the curb (or what's left of it right now) and sketched the activity going on. Of course the workmen were curious, and the driver of the dragline actually came up to me to ask if it was okay if he would drive it further up the street.
While drawing this, my coffee got cold, my body was warmed by the sun, and I was pretty happy.
