Desert sketches

During my vacation in the US, I made these desert sketches when I stayed in Joshua Tree, in the Mojave Desert, California:

And this one was done on the road:
During our stay in Las Vegas, we avoided casino's as much as possible (which actually is impossible to do) - we don't even like gambling! For example, checking into a hotel can't be done without walking through the hotel casino (which every hotel in Vegas has). I was fascinated by the casino world, but didn't like the atmosphere at all. Still, I did make a quick sketch at a casino bar just once. In the right corner of the page, I jotted down a few gambling machine titles... fascinating too:

Drawing in public is fun, and it's a great excuse to go to places you otherwise might not be visiting. It's great exercise too! Do you like drawing too, but would you like to make it more of a habit, and add some skills? In June, my online drawing course starts, and in 6 weeks, I will teach you some fun and helpful techniques to make drawing easier and even more fun. Have a look here and join me!
